Lowestoft has started a major reconstruction of the waterfront: what will change.
The stunning Lowestoft beach
According to The Sun: The beach in Lowestoft is one of the brightest I have ever seen. It stretches for miles, covered in fine golden sand.
This seaside town has a unique advantage — the sun rises here first in the UK every day.

Ness Point, the easternmost point of the UK, is marked by a large metal plaque on the ground.
Many people travel from far and wide during the summer solstice to witness the sunrise.
Currently, the sun rises in Lowestoft at 6:56 AM, so you'll have to wake up early to enjoy this spectacle.
Entertainment and activities
Lowestoft offers plenty of entertainment for a whole day. Although the beach may not be ideal for building sandcastles, the sand is perfect for warming your feet, and the beach is very flat, making it accessible for group picnics.
The town has two piers. One has no special attractions, but is perfect for a walk, while the other offers arcades with classic games that you can find on seaside piers (don't forget to bring coins!).
However, when you reach the end of the arcade and turn back onto the street, you won't be allowed to enter the last part of the pier, as it drops into the sea.
Prices in the town are also very attractive: fish and chips at The Pier costs only £8, while a classic Mr Whippy is just £2 from Claremont Pier.
Dining establishments and city upgrades
The Flying Fifteens is a cozy place for a snack, which even has a garden. Coming from Devon, I always enjoy it when scones with plum and cream are on the menu — although most do not reach the level of Devon cream tea.
However, The Flying Fifteens scone was huge and filled with a substantial portion of cream inside. The jam also spilled out, and for extra enjoyment — there were fresh berries as well.

Don’t forget to look at the sea — you will see two huge towers that look like aliens. In fact, these are structures for vulnerable seabirds, built just a few years ago and are considered the first of their kind in the world.
The waterfront area will also receive a significant update costing £4.9 million, with a new two-story restaurant and café. There will be three new premises for shops or entertainment establishments, as well as public toilets and changing rooms. A new lift will improve access to the waterfront for people with disabilities.
The travel time to Lowestoft from London is about two and a half hours.
Lowestoft continues to be a popular tourist destination due to its beautiful beach, recreational opportunities, and delicious food. With upcoming upgrades to the coastal infrastructure, this town has every chance to attract even more visitors and ensure them an unforgettable vacation.Read also
