According to The Sun: Modestas Bukauskas aims to reach new heights in heavyweight, noting his physical and mental perfection.

His success is not only a result of training from his father and coach Gintas but also a consequence of the maturity of body and soul, which, as Modestas admits, were not ready for serious challenges at the beginning of his MMA career.
“I feel that God places certain situations in life when you are ready for them. My first stint in UFC, I simply was not ready. I was too young.”
