Initially, the cookie was created as an April Fool's joke on the internet, but demand exceeded all expectations, prompting manufacturers to mass-produce it.

Consumers actively expressed their concerns on social media that the dessert would no longer appear on shelves. One customer noted:

“My local Tesco doesn’t have it anymore!”
