IKEA launches moving service: what Life at Home offers.
According to The Sun: IKEA has introduced a new service that will significantly simplify moving for Britons.
During a move, from packing boxes to completing sales, families face many challenges. However, the new service from the Swedish furniture giant may help reduce the stress associated with this process.

Life at Home will include three new services: moving and setup, energy services, and the IKEA Family credit card. These services will take care of administrative tasks such as transferring bills, comparing utility rates, and redirecting mail. This will help Britons avoid feeling overwhelmed during a move.
The service, developed in partnership with Just Move, will also allow customers to book movers, storage, and cleaners. Additionally, customers will be connected to renewable energy providers to make green energy more accessible and affordable.
Life at Home users will be able to connect to solar panel, heat pump, and electric vehicle charger providers. The IKEA Family credit card will offer flexible payment options to spread expenses.
Customers receive 0% interest on financing for qualifying purchases and can earn IKEA Family reward points. One point will be credited for every £5 spent at IKEA, as well as for every £10 spent at other stores. Once enough points are accrued, you can redeem them for free products, discounts, and other benefits.
Ikea UKIE customer manager Ashley Hamilton said: “At Ikea, we’ve always been driven by the mission to create a better everyday life for people.”
“The Life at Home offering reflects this commitment. It’s a comprehensive collection of services that not only makes life at home more convenient and affordable but also empowers our customers to live more sustainably.”
“With solutions that span moving home, energy, and financial services, we’re making it easier for our customers to navigate life’s moments and transitions.”
IKEA Discount Season
This announcement follows the launch of a huge home goods sale at IKEA, offering significant discounts on many products - prices reduced to under £10.
The company is offering hundreds of promotions that cover various IKEA product lines. Prices start from just 25p for a measuring cup, which is a 50% discount. Storage boxes are also available for £1, helping to utilize space effectively in cabinets and bookshelves, along with tables for £7.
However, it is worth noting that the company has recently begun charging for its Click and Collect service, which may not please customers. Now, ordering items online for collection in-store comes with a £2 fee, although this service remains free for Family loyalty program members.
These innovations from IKEA reflect the company's commitment to adapting to modern consumer needs. By introducing new services that facilitate moving and energy solutions, IKEA aims to reduce stress for customers during challenging times. Additionally, discounts and promotions on products make them more accessible, providing intriguing offers for shoppers during this difficult period.
