Chelsea introduces penalty system for red cards: what is the reason.
Financial penalties for discipline at Chelsea
According to The Sun: Enzo Maresca reported that Chelsea players are fining each other in attempts to improve team discipline. This season, the 'Blues' received three red cards in the Premier League, and if we account for one more red card for Maresca, the total amounts to five in all competitions. This is already half of their record of six red cards.
“We need to find a way to make everyone understand how important it is to act as a team and maintain discipline,” said Maresca.
This initiative aims to reduce the number of disciplinary violations and improve the team's on-field performance.
It is important to note that discipline is a key factor for success in team sports. In Chelsea's case, strengthening control over player behavior could become a decisive factor in their fight for high places in the league table. Experience, communication, and willingness to work on mistakes can significantly influence the team's performance in upcoming matches.
