Changes in snooker broadcasts
ITV will no longer broadcast the Snooker Tour Championship, Player Championship, and the British Open Championship. The free-to-air channel has lost the rights to these events in favor of Channel 5, which announced a 'landmark deal' last year. This will be the first time Channel 5 shows top professional snooker.According to The Sun: Channel content chief Ben Frow expressed satisfaction with the new opportunities:
“We are delighted to bring the best snooker to our viewers.”
