Changes in snooker broadcasts
ITV will no longer broadcast the Snooker Tour Championship, Player Championship, and the British Open Championship. The free-to-air channel has lost the rights to these events in favor of Channel 5, which announced a 'landmark deal' last year. This will be the first time Channel 5 shows top professional snooker.According to The Sun: Channel content chief Ben Frow expressed satisfaction with the new opportunities:
“We are delighted to bring the best snooker to our viewers.”
Changes in snooker broadcasts could significantly impact the promotion of this sport in Ukraine and other countries. With the new broadcasts, viewers can expect broader access to key matches, which will help increase interest in snooker overall.
