Israel and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire: details of the hostage deal.
According to inkorr.com: Israel and Hamas have reached an agreement for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and a prisoner exchange. According to the agreements, Israeli forces will partially withdraw from 53% of the territory of the Gaza Strip within 24 hours, while Hamas will release hostages within the next 72 hours.
The release of more than 20 hostages is scheduled for Monday.
Under this agreement, Israel also intends to release 250 Palestinian prisoners who received life sentences, as well as over 1,700 individuals detained after October 7, 2023. Additionally, the volumes of humanitarian aid for Gaza will be increased and distributed through the UN and other international organizations.
The ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas will come into effect after both parties fulfill their obligations. This could be an important step towards further negotiations and reducing tensions in the region.
The signing of the agreement demonstrates the possibility of dialogue even under difficult conditions and opens new prospects for a peaceful resolution to the conflict. Both parties have a chance to turn this pause in the fire into a longer-lasting truce that will help improve the situation for the civilian population in the region.
