The war in Ukraine will last for years: EU forecast for the next two years.
According to inkorr.com: Kaia Kallas, the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs, expressed her vision for the continuation of the war in Ukraine, noting that it may last at least another two years.
I consider it unrealistic for Russia to withdraw its troops and return with guarantees. What I see as realistic is that this war will last at least a few more years., — she told reporters in Strasbourg, according to La Vanguardia.
Kallas also noted that the peace initiatives put forward by Trump have not yet yielded results. She emphasized that Russia is pressuring Ukraine to agree to capitulation and surrender part of its territories. If Ukraine agrees, this could threaten further escalation from Russia in the next two to three years.
Russian-Ukrainian war: a deadlock?
Kallas is not too optimistic about the war in Ukraine: she believes that at least two years of conflict remain., — notes El Pais.
According to information obtained from the 'corridors of Strasbourg', European diplomats are concerned about the deadlock in the Russian-Ukrainian war. They are worried about the increase in aggression from Russia, which was manifested in the recent attack on Poland.
A representative of the European Union warns of the risk of a prolonged conflict in Ukraine, believing that finding a swift solution is currently impossible. The lack of positive results in efforts to peacefully resolve the conflict, along with new aggressive actions from Russia, increases the likelihood of further escalation of the situation.
