This announcement underscores Canada’s ongoing commitment to bolstering Ukraine’s defenses amid the prolonged conflict with Russia.

Breakdown of the Latest Assistance Package

The new aid package consists of the following components:

  • $475 million allocated for the procurement of ammunition, a critical element in strengthening Ukraine’s defensive capabilities.
  • Nearly $400 million dedicated to the construction of 35 armored vehicles manufactured in Canada.
  • $50 million designated for the delivery of essential technologies and engineering equipment.
