The State Employment Service (SES) actively helps young people decide on their future profession by creating individual 'career paths.' This was stated by the Director of SES, Yulia Zhovtyak, in an interview with RBC Ukraine.
What Support Young Specialists Receive
According to Zhovtyak, youth is the main driving force for change, so SES helps them develop their potential and find new opportunities. Among other forms of support are passing tests for vocational guidance, assistance in resume writing and interview preparation, as well as participation in employment programs and compensation schemes.'We help build career paths, create opportunities, and unlock and develop their potential.'To encourage employers to hire young people, the state compensates half of the minimum wage for six months. Support is available for both experienced workers and those seeking their first job. Registered unemployed individuals can undergo free retraining.
Who Special Government Programs Are For
For internally displaced persons, people with disabilities, and veterans, there is a voucher program that covers the costs of training or qualification improvement up to 30,280 UAH. Young Ukrainians aged 18–25 can receive a state microgrant of up to 150,000 UAH to start their own business without the obligation to create jobs.It was previously announced that by 2028, the average salary in Ukraine will reach nearly 39,000 UAH, which can be achieved in just three years. In addition, the agricultural sector is witnessing a 20-28% rise in average employee incomes, while the demand for staff remains high.By supporting young Ukrainians in job searching and starting their own businesses, the State Employment Service contributes to their professional development and opens new opportunities for their future careers.Read also
