KFC brings back iconic burger and staple dish in huge menu shake-up after customers demanded their return.
Return of KFC's beloved burger
According to The Sun: KFC once again delights its fans by bringing back the beloved burger known as the 'dirtiest' creation of the establishment. This popular dish will be appearing in restaurants across the country, but only for a limited time – six weeks.
Dirty fries are backKFCDetails about the burger
From September 1 to October 12, fried chicken lovers can enjoy the luxurious Dirty Louisiana burger along with the popular Dirty Loaded Fries.
The Dirty Louisiana burger consists of KFC's original recipe fillet, melted cheese, golden hash brown, lettuce, and pickles. All of this is covered with three sauces: Supercharger Mayo, Smokey BBQ, and Black Pepper Mayo, and is nestled in a toasted brioche bun.
This burger costs £7.99 and was previously recognized as one of the chain's favorite creations.
The burger first appeared in 2017, then returned in April this year, and now, at the request of fans, is back on the menu.
Accompanying dishes
Not stopping at the burger, Dirty Loaded Fries are back at £3.99. This dish quickly gained popularity when it appeared on the menu earlier this year; fans are intrigued by the combination of fries, crispy chicken pieces, and sauces.
KFC emphasizes that both dishes are 'rebellious happiness,' making them iconic among fans.
The limited edition 'dirty duo' is already available for order in restaurants, online, and via the click & collect service until October 12.
Fans are actively sharing their impressions about the return of the dishes on social media, with many promising to rush to enjoy the burger before it disappears again.
“KFC warns that the return will not last forever, urging fans to act quickly to relive one of the brand's most iconic menu moments.”
Nutritional information
According to Nutricheck data, the burger contains 735 calories, while the fries contain 483 calories.
Restaurants and fast-food chains are constantly updating their menus in response to customer demand. Recently, Greggs brought back a popular product after numerous consumer requests, while Wetherspoons restored its iconic dish under pressure from a fan.
Meanwhile, McDonald's recently updated its menu, bringing back Spicy McNuggets and Chicken Big Mac, although this resulted in the cancellation of Cheesy McCrispy and Halloumi Fries.
Thus, the return of the Dirty Louisiana and Dirty Loaded Fries indicates how fast-food establishments are striving to meet their customers' preferences and adapt to their requests. This could be an excellent signal for all fans waiting for new flavors and favorite dishes in their beloved restaurants.
