Kichenok and Zhang exit the doubles tournament in Brisbane at the quarter-final stage.
Ukrainian tennis player Lyudmyla Kichenok, together with Taiwanese athlete Hao-Ching Zhang, lost in the doubles WTA 500 tournament in Brisbane. This was reported by Great Tennis of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian-Taiwanese duo lost the first set in a tiebreak, in which Priscilla Hon and Anna Kalinskaya managed to emerge victorious after a tense battle.
In the second set, the opponents left no chances for Kichenok, and with a score of 2:6, the Ukrainian tennis player was eliminated from the tournament. The match lasted 1 hour and 25 minutes.
The duo Zhang/Kichenok made one ace, committed five double faults, and managed to create seven break points.
It is worth noting that this tournament was the first appearance of the paired duo.
Previously, Ukrainian tennis player Nadiya Kichenok also exited the WTA 500 doubles tournament.
