Kyiv without centers for displaced persons: why the capital ignores 400 thousand IDPs

According to inkorr.com: There are over 400 thousand internally displaced persons in Kyiv. According to the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development, there is not a single center in the capital of Ukraine that helps these people, while such institutions exist in all regional centers.

'Kyiv is the capital of the country, but there are no conditions for internally displaced persons here. Although such places exist in every regional center. More than 400 thousand IDPs live in the city - this is one of the highest rates in Ukraine,' noted Oleksii Riabikin, Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development.

According to Riabikin, there are resources in Kyiv to support the displaced, but they are currently being used ineffectively. He called on the city authorities to create comfortable conditions for the integration of displaced persons and provide them with temporary living opportunities.

Kyiv's leadership in supporting displaced persons

After the City Defense Council meeting, the city authorities were instructed to prepare proposals for creating centers for internally displaced persons. Oleksii Riabikin also emphasized that Kyiv must take responsibility for supporting the displaced, as the capital's status requires special attention to this issue.

The lack of centers for internally displaced persons in Kyiv is a serious problem, considering the number of such people in the city. The statement by the Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development highlights the need for improving conditions for the displaced and their integration into the urban environment.

In wartime conditions and the constant increase in the number of displaced persons, Kyiv must find effective solutions to meet the needs of this vulnerable population group. The authorities must act quickly and decisively to provide social support and comfort for the displaced who have left their homes in search of safety and stability.
