Kyiv prepares for heating: 90% of buildings have already passed inspection

According to inkorr.com: Kyiv is actively preparing for the heating season of 2025–2026. About nine out of ten residential buildings serviced by communal managers have already received readiness certificates for the start of heat supply. Heating enterprises are conducting inspections and examinations of the internal systems of buildings before issuing the relevant documents.

Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Petro Panteleev emphasized: 'The readiness certificate is not a competition for indicators. It is a summary of the work done or evidence of its absence.'

Particularly old buildings, constructed more than half a century ago, require special attention, as their worn-out basements and communications need a comprehensive replacement. The technical functionality of heating systems is a crucial condition for all buildings.

Planning the start of the heating season

Panteleev noted that there is still time before the cold weather arrives to eliminate the deficiencies identified by heating organizations. This is critically important for ensuring stability and safety in the heat supply to the homes of Kyiv residents. The heating season in the capital will begin after the average daily temperature remains below +8 °C.

Kyiv is already almost ready for the heating season of 2025–2026. The buildings have been inspected for the readiness of their internal systems, but special attention is being paid to old buildings where comprehensive replacement of worn-out communications is necessary. The city authorities are striving to ensure stable and safe heat supply to residential buildings.

A warm winter is an important component of comfort for every Kyiv resident. In this regard, preparing for the heating season takes on special significance, as the technical condition of heating systems affects not only comfort but also the safety of residents. Therefore, responsible services continue to work on eliminating deficiencies and preparing all systems for readiness.
