Kyiv Prepares for Winter: Why 800 km of Heat Networks Need Urgent Repairs.
Critical Situation with Heating Supply in Kyiv
According to inkorr.com: Experts have drawn attention to the heating supply problems in Kyiv. Oleg Popenko reported that it is urgent to repair 800 kilometers of heat networks, but the work is being carried out very slowly. This could lead to a shortage of heat for the residents of the capital, who risk being left without heating as early as autumn.
Popenko also noted that, although the heating season officially begins on November 1, in some districts of Kyiv, heating may arrive late due to technical or operational issues. Furthermore, there are more than 300 buildings that have not been put into operation, complicating the heating supply situation. Currently, the start dates for the heating season in Kyiv remain uncertain.
In these conditions, it is important to find ways to address these issues to ensure warmth in the homes of Kyiv residents. The situation requires the attention of the city authorities and prompt actions to prevent significant inconveniences for the capital's residents.
