Kim Jong Un personally oversaw the test of a new anti-aircraft missile: details of the launch.
According to ТСН: The leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un, directly controlled the test launch of a long-range anti-aircraft missile that took place near the eastern coast of North Korea. According to the state agency KCNA, this test aimed to assess strategic technologies of a new type of high-altitude missiles. During the test, the missile destroyed air targets at a distance of up to 200 kilometers.
Construction of a nuclear submarine
Kim Jong Un also visited the facility where work is ongoing on a nuclear submarine with a displacement of about 8700 tons. According to KCNA, this submarine will be able to launch missiles, but the exact location and date of the leader's stay remain unknown.
Modernization of the navy
In Pyongyang, it was emphasized that the nuclear submarine project is part of a larger program for the modernization of the navy, which is one of the five main directions identified by the ruling party to strengthen the country's defense potential.
Statements by Kim Jong Un
Kim Jong Un stressed that the comprehensive development of nuclear forces and the modernization of the navy are "inevitable," adding that "the modern world is by no means modern," and security threats are only increasing.
It should be noted that Kim Jong Un ordered to mobilize all resources to support the country's nuclear program, to "sharpen the nuclear shield and sword" for the protection of national sovereignty and security.
The testing of new technologies in the army and the active modernization of the navy indicate North Korea's intentions to strengthen its defense capabilities. These actions may have serious consequences for security in the region, as they underscore the country's constant combat readiness and aspirations amid heightened international relations.
