According to inkorr.com: The Chinese Ambassador to Ukraine, Ma Shengkui, expressed support for a peaceful resolution of the conflict and the intention to assist in ceasing hostilities. During an official event in Kyiv, he emphasized that China understands the difficulties faced by the Ukrainian people and is actively working towards achieving peace.

“We fully understand the trials that the Ukrainian people are going through. China takes an objective and fair stance, calling for peaceful negotiations and promoting a political settlement,”
– noted Ma Shengkui.

Support for peace and cooperation

The diplomat stressed that Beijing is interested in quickly achieving a fair and sustainable peace agreement and is ready to intensify efforts together with the international community to stop the fire.

He also drew attention to the thirty-year relations between Ukraine and China, which are based on mutual respect and benefit.

“China is Ukraine's largest trading partner. The economies of our countries complement each other. China is ready to work with Ukraine to expand cooperation for the benefit of both nations,”
– emphasized Ma Shengkui.

Economic relations

In turn, the Ukrainian ambassador to China confirmed that subsidies for the import of copper and nickel from Russia have increased. This step could significantly affect the economic relations between the countries in the future.

The distance between Ukraine and China is becoming even shorter thanks to the efforts of diplomats in achieving peace and expanding cooperation.
