According to inkorr.com: At the beginning of 2026, the countries participating in the demining coalition promise to allocate at least 165 million euros to provide Ukraine with technical means and equipment. This information was announced by the coalition coordinator and representative of the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania, Rolandas Kiškis, during his visit to Ukraine.
Procurement of Demining Equipment
This funding will be used for the purchase of various demining equipment, including mechanized machines, minesweepers, and demining systems. Such initiatives will significantly enhance Ukraine's capabilities in this area and contribute to faster clearing of territory from explosive objects.
'International partners are also preparing to provide additional resources for training and educating Ukrainian demining specialists, adhering to NATO and IMAS standards,' the Ministry of Defense added.
Composition of the Demining Coalition
Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iceland and the NATO Support Group in Ukraine were also present at the meeting. It is important to note that the Demining Coalition consists of 23 countries, including Ukraine, European states, and Japan. Canada, the Netherlands, and the USA act as observers and partners in this international initiative.
Thus, Ukraine will receive substantial financial support from the international demining coalition, which will allow it to improve its capabilities in this important area and ensure the quick clearing of territory from explosive objects.
