Former military man detained for organizing a border crossing scheme: case details.
According to inkorr.com: In Ukraine, law enforcement officials detained a former serviceman who developed a plan for illegal border crossing. This scheme was organized during martial law in an attempt to obtain financial gain.
The investigation established that from July to September 2025, the suspect deliberately developed a plan for the illegal transportation of conscripted men abroad.
According to information obtained through the Telegram messenger, the man offered three options for illegal border crossing at different prices. He was detained for offering an unlawful benefit of 7000 US dollars, the subject of the bribe was seized. Currently, the court has chosen house arrest as a preventive measure for the man.
Legal Consequences
According to current legislation, the former serviceman faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of seven to nine years with the possibility of deprivation of certain rights for up to three years, as well as confiscation of property.
The Specialized Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine uncovered this scheme of illegal border crossing organized by the former serviceman. He offered various options for transportation for substantial money during martial law. The perpetrator was detained, and he now faces serious consequences under Ukrainian law.
