Trump's team discussed with the White House and Ukraine the end of the war – NBC.
Trump's team is negotiating with Biden and Ukrainian officials regarding the end of the war. No specific peace plan for Kyiv has been presented yet. Biden's advisor also held talks with a likely successor in the National Security Office, but their focuses do not include strategies for ending the war or a ceasefire in Ukraine.
Trump's team has not informed the Ukrainian government of its war plans, but talks in Paris between Trump and Zelensky's advisors are considered constructive, and they took place with Macron's mediation. There was no wall of mutual understanding.
Kyiv and its allies have been concerned that Trump sees Ukraine as the main obstacle to ending the war. However, two sources emphasize that the Republican sees the problem in Putin, not Kyiv. Meanwhile, Trump's team has not communicated any peace plans to Ukraine.
U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Kellogg stated that Russia's war against Ukraine may end in the coming months. He previously noted that he is prepared to use force to ensure peace.
