Oleksandr Usyk may have his next fight in MMA: who will be his opponent.
The absolute world champion in heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk is considering offers for his next fight, possibly even of a non-boxing nature. This was reported by Usyk's team director Serhiy Lapin in an interview for Seconds Out.
Usyk prepares for MMA
According to Lapin, Usyk's team is considering the possibility of a matchup with American blogger and boxer Jake Paul. This fight is garnering significant interest among both athletes and spectators, making it a potential next bout for Usyk. In MMA format, the chances for the athletes would be closer, which could ensure a high audience rating. However, the director did not clarify at what stage the negotiations are.
It is worth noting, after Usyk's victory over Daniel Dubois, he became the absolute world champion in heavyweight. After the fight, Paul entered the ring, and they had a stare-down.
Additionally, the Ukrainian goalkeeper is preparing for the new season in Saudi Arabia, while the Brazil national team may be suspended from participating in the 2026 World Cup in the USA. A former UFC fighter prefers to stay in Russia and supports their war in Ukraine, while a Russian strike destroyed the gym of a Ukrainian karate club.
Oleksandr Usyk is exploring options for his next match, and his potential participation in mixed martial arts is drawing considerable interest. Also, among sports news, many exciting events related to Ukrainian and world athletes are mentioned, making the sports field even more captivating and unpredictable.
