Ukrainian FP-1 Drones Destroy Russian Oil Refineries: How the Secret Weapon Works.
Technical Capabilities of Fire Point Drones and Missiles
According to inkorr.com: Denis Shtilerman, the chief designer of Fire Point, shared information about the technical characteristics of Ukrainian FP-1 drones and the 'Flamingo' cruise missiles. He also noted why attacks on Moscow remain a challenging task despite the high effectiveness of Ukrainian weaponry.
According to Shtilerman, FP-1 drones are responsible for a number of high-profile strikes on Russian territory. 'Tikhoretsk, Toropets, Kotluban, Borisoglebsk, Morozovsk, Baltimore and a bunch of Russian oil refineries — this is all the work of the Defense Forces with our drones,' the designer emphasized in a comment to ZN.UA.
Advantages of Fire Point Drones
The main advantage of Fire Point drones lies in their resistance to electronic countermeasures. Shtilerman noted that the company developed its own spoof detection algorithm. 'As of now, we can confidently say that our drones cannot be spoofed,' he reported.
Developments for Strikes on Moscow
For route selection in Moscow, Fire Point created a nighttime map-matching system that operates at low altitudes, allowing the drone to successfully follow the assigned route.
'Flamingo' Cruise Missiles
Shtilerman also characterized the 'Flamingo' cruise missile as 'the best in the world in terms of range and warhead mass.' Missile production is ongoing in large volumes, with plans to reach a figure of seven missiles by the end of the year.
Fire Point is actively developing new technologies to enhance its capabilities. Ukrainian drones and cruise missiles demonstrate high effectiveness in strikes on Russian territory, yet attacks on Moscow remain a significant challenge. This indicates the need for further advancements to improve combat strategy.
