In 2019, the authors traveled to Korostyshiv by public transport, arriving in the city around midday. More recently, in 2023, they set out from Kyiv at 8:15 AM, hoping for smooth access to the canyon.

En Route Difficulties

The trip, however, hit snags. The minibus driver could not enter Korostyshiv due to a collapsed bridge. Approaching the city, he made a 15-minute stop at a gas station, delaying their arrival. The drop-off point was several kilometers from the canyon, requiring extra effort to reach their destination.

Notably, the Korostyshiv quarry lies about 1.5–2 kilometers from the canyon, further complicating matters for those planning to visit both sites.

Despite the transport issues, Korostyshiv Canyon remains a popular tourist spot. Its natural landscapes continue to impress with their beauty, but accessibility remains a concern.

This situation highlights the need for better transport infrastructure in tourist regions, which can significantly shape visitors' experiences.
