Davis Cup: Ukraine's national tennis team announced the lineup for the match against Tunisia.
The Ukrainian national team already knows its lineup for the Davis Cup match against the team of Tunisia. The game will take place from January 31 to February 1, 2025.
The Ukraine team will be represented by Oleksandr Ovcharenko, Vitalii Sachko, Oleksii Krutykh, Vyacheslav Belinskyi, and Vladyslav Orlov.
The match will be held in Tunisia on Hard - Greenset Confort surface. This is the first meeting between Ukraine and Tunisia within the Davis Cup.
In the previous Davis Cup match, Ukraine lost to the team of Israel with a score of 1-3. The match, which took place in Larnaca (Cyprus), was held without spectators.
Ukrainian tennis players learned their opponents at the Australian Open
Elina Svitolina will play against Sorana Cirstea from Romania, Marta Kostyuk will meet withNao Hibino from Japan, Dayana Yastremska will face Mayar Sherif from Egypt, Angelina Kalinina will play with Ons Jabeur from Tunisia, Yulia Starodubtseva will clash with Leylah Fernandez from Canada, and Daria Snigur will play against Daniel Collins from the USA.
This will be Marta Kostyuk's participation in the main draw of the Australian Open. Last year, she reached the quarter-finals of the tournament.
Ukraine will be represented by Elina Svitolina for the 12th Time. Her best result was reaching the quarter-finals in 2018 and 2019.
Dayana Yastremska has experience playing in the main draw of the Australian Open, where she started from the qualifiers and reached the semi-finals last season.
Angelina Kalinina will participate in the main draw of the Australian Open for the fourth time. Two years ago, she reached the third round of the tournament.
This is Yulia Starodubtseva's first participation in the main draw of the Australian Open. Last year, she made it to the main draw from the qualifiers but lost in the first round.
Daria Snigur successfully passed the qualifying stage of the Australian Open today.
