Trump is ready to guarantee Ukraine's security on the condition: what he demands from the Russian Federation.
According to ТСН: Former Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba noted that Ukraine has made significant progress in peace negotiations with Europe and the USA, which has been talked about for a long time.
In an interview, he expressed the opinion that if the current efforts do not succeed, the next attempt will be much more difficult.
Negotiations and Expectations
Kuleba believes that a significant surge in the negotiation process will occur at the end of February. He supports this view with the words of the new head of the President's Office, Kyrylo Budanov. After this, there will be an opportunity for new negotiations in the summer and then at the end of winter.
“Russia is confident that it can achieve its goals by military means. Ukraine is confident that it can hold on. Trump, paradoxically, runs between Putin and Zelensky, ”Kuleba explained the lack of positive or negative motivation to end the war. “Because each of them has compensatory resources. As I said, for Russia, it’s China. For us, it’s Europe. And as long as Europe and Ukraine hold together, Trump cannot break them.”
Readiness to Act
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiga confirmed that the Ukrainian delegation is ready to go to the United States as soon as it receives a “proper signal” from American partners. According to him, the main goal of this trip is to agree on further steps to end the war.
In addition, it was previously reported that U.S. President Donald Trump expressed willingness to take on the obligation to participate in the future defense of Ukraine. However, his agreement depends on confidence that the Russian Federation will not try to attack again.
Thus, the words of Kuleba and Sybiga highlight a critical moment in the negotiations. At the end of February, the global community may witness new initiatives in the search for ways to peace. Ukraine continues to seek partners and support in its fight against Russian aggression, hoping to strengthen its position on the international stage.
