According to Novyny.live: On January 14, 2023, the National Bank of Ukraine weakened the dollar exchange rate by 8 kopecks to 43.1762 UAH per dollar. As of 3:00 PM that day, the average dollar exchange rate in exchange offices was 43.30 UAH for sale and 43.17 UAH for purchase. This indicates a decrease in the value of the dollar in exchange offices compared to previous days.

Last Wednesday, the dollar in sale cost 43.28 UAH, while in purchase — 43.07 UAH. Thus, it can be noted that the dollar exchange rate has undergone fluctuations in a short period of time. In particular, from January 10 to 12, a sharp jump in the currency was observed, which could have affected the current situation in the foreign exchange market.

Experts' forecasts regarding the dollar exchange rate

Expert Oleg Rubel noted that in 2026, the dollar exchange rate will fluctuate within planned parameters.

He also added that even with a forecast of 45 hryvnias per dollar, fluctuations could reach 50, but they will have a seasonal and temporary character. This may indicate that the foreign exchange market remains dynamic and is influenced by various factors.
