Official Exchange Rates for February 26

According to TSN.ua: On February 26, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) set the official exchange rate for the US dollar at 43.24 hryvnias, marking a slight decrease of 2 kopiykas from the previous day's rate. The Ukrainian central bank regularly adjusts these official rates in response to market conditions.

The official rate for the euro was set at 50.96 hryvnias, while the Polish zloty was fixed at 12.07 hryvnias. In contrast, on the cash market, the US dollar traded within a range of 43 to 43.75 hryvnias, and the euro between 50 and 52 hryvnias. On the interbank market, the dollar's rate was 43 to 43.5 hryvnias, with the euro also trading between 50 and 52 hryvnias.

Ongoing Market Surveillance

The National Bank of Ukraine continues to monitor the foreign exchange market and adjust official rates in line with the prevailing economic situation.

While the dollar's dip on the official market may signal some stabilization, the wider trading ranges seen in the cash and interbank segments indicate ongoing volatility. As currency fluctuations directly impact inflation and the broader economy, the NBU's future policy actions will be crucial for maintaining the stability of the hryvnia.
