Kursk Region: British intelligence revealed how Russia is trying to defend the region.
According to intelligence, Russia has begun amassing forces to prevent the advancement of Ukrainian military units deep into its territory. This was reported by the UK Ministry of Defense.
The UK Ministry of Defense confirms that Ukrainian troops have penetrated the Russian region to a depth of 10 to 25 km, on a front of approximately 40 km.
Analysts claim that Russian defensive lines and border troops were unprepared for the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine that began last week.
After initial chaos and disorganization, Russian troops deployed larger forces in the region, likely from other places along the contact line
It is also noted that the Russians have begun constructing additional defensive positions to prevent the advancement of Ukrainian troops.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, reported that a military commandant's office has been established in the part of the Kursk region controlled by Ukraine. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have taken control of 82 settlements and advanced 35 km, controlling over a thousand square kilometers of Russian territory.
