Mallorca suspended contract with Dani Rodriguez
According to The Sun: The Spanish club Mallorca announced the suspension of the contract with experienced midfielder Dani Rodriguez without pay. This decision was made following his public outrage regarding the lack of playing time during the match against Real.
The player expressed his dissatisfaction on social media, as his family was present at the stadium, but he did not play a single minute.

Rodriguez's family arrived at the match at Santiago Bernabeu, but he remained on the bench during the team's 2-1 loss.
In an official statement, Mallorca confirmed that Rodriguez's playing activities and salary are suspended, and the captain's armband has been taken from him.
After the match, the 37-year-old player posted a photo of his family from the stadium on Instagram and expressed his dissatisfaction with the lack of opportunities:
“An important lesson and advice for them: never expect anything from others, especially these days when meritocracy, culture, and respect for hard work are absent.”
He noted that he came to Madrid with his children, who were eagerly waiting to see their father play at the Bernabeu, and were disappointed that he did not step onto the field.
Rodriguez added that he is not upset about the lack of playing time but pointed out the lack of respect for those who are dedicatedly working in the team:
“I respect the coach Jagoba Arrasate's decision, but I cannot accept the lack of respect for commitment and dedication,”
pointing out his teammates:
“It hurts me when a player who has just joined the team gets a chance to play after one training session, while teammates who have spent years fighting for this jersey are ignored.”
Clearly, he was referring to newcomer Jan Virgili, who stepped onto the field in the 87th minute.
Rodriguez decided to speak out openly as his family had been going through tough times. Since then, he has not made any public statements following the announcement of the contract suspension.
