Lamine Yamal hosted a late-night dinner for Barcelona's top executives
According to The Sun: The 18-year-old Lamine Yamal invited Barcelona executives to a festive dinner with burgers after the Ballon d'Or ceremony.
Although the young footballer was not named the best player in the world this year and was overshadowed by Ousmane Dembélé, his evening did not end after returning from Paris.
The president of 'Barça', Joan Laporta, recounted that the team had forgotten to eat during an active day. However, Yamal and his teammate Pau Kubarsi decided to fix the situation.
"We all realized that we hadn't eaten anything since the morning due to traveling and the hustle, so we were really hungry. On the way to the airport, Lamine Yamal noticed a restaurant with burgers. We stopped, and he and Kubarsi went out to buy food for everyone, and we ate it on the way. The burgers were very delicious,"– Laporta told RAC 1 radio.
The Barcelona team and staff could not sleep until 5 AM, despite the upcoming match against Real Oviedo on Thursday.
If Yamal quickly recovers from his thigh injury, he might still be upset about Dembélé's victory.
Lamine's father believes in his potential
Lamine's father believes that his son is the "best player in the world." Many had high hopes for Yamal and expected him to win the award.
"Lamine is feeling good. He would have wanted to win, but we just fell short of reaching the Champions League final. He is motivated to keep working and win next year. He will be the best in the world,"– emphasized Laporta. Reuters
