Lavrov outlined a list of demands from Russia for 'ceasefire'.

The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov presented the Kremlin's demands for a peace agreement with Ukraine. The Russian invaders insist on the demilitarization of Ukraine and the lifting of sanctions against Russia.

'On the agenda is the task of demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, cancellation of anti-Russian sanctions, withdrawal of all lawsuits against Russia, and the return of its assets illegally seized in the West. All these provisions must be included in the agreement on peaceful settlement'

He also noted that Russia is ready for a political-diplomatic resolution of the conflict, but a strong peace is needed, not just a ceasefire. However, for sustainable resolution, in his opinion, it is necessary to eliminate 'threats to the security of Russia', such as NATO expansion and the possible accession of Ukraine to the Alliance.

Ukraine's reaction to Lavrov's statements

Andriy Yermak from the Office of the President of Ukraine stated that Russia is trying to evade responsibility for the prolonged war, but economic sanctions against Russia's shadow fleet demonstrate their effectiveness.

Ukraine responded to Lavrov's demands with accusations of attempts to distract attention from the real causes of the war and support for measures aimed at deterring Russia's aggressive behavior.
