Scott Brown showcases his fiery attitude even in retirement

According to The Sun: Scott Brown, former Scotland national team player who retired three years ago, still possesses a strong fighting spirit.

During a charity match, he became so enraged with the referee's decision to award a penalty against his team that he was sent off.

Brown believes he touched the ball alt='The referee shows a red card to the footballer during the game.' class='alignnone size-thesun-article-image wp-image-36981871' width='960' height='513' /> The captain's reaction led to his dismissal

Brown participated in a legends match between Celtic and Feyenoord in the Wim Jansen cup.

The Celtic team was trailing 1-2 in Rotterdam when, in the 87th minute, his aggressive throw-in forced the referee to award a penalty.

TV replays showed that Brown may have touched the ball, but the referee stood by his decision.

The referee's camera captured Brown yelling at the referee.

In an unlikely scenario for a charity match, the referee drew a red card.

Before leaving the field, Brown gave a thumbs-up, and the referee mockingly waved goodbye to him.

This did not bring Brown joy when Liverpool legend Dirk Kuyt failed to convert the penalty, and the match ended 2-1.

Goals were scored by former Southampton player Graziano Pelle and Diego Biševac, while Celtic's lone goal was scored by Charlie Mulgrew.

Brown was sent off an astonishing eight times during his two-decade career, exclusively in Scotland.

He began his career at Hibernian and later spent 14 years at Celtic, where he played over 600 matches, becoming the second most-trophy-laden captain in the club's history.

One season at Aberdeen rounded off his impressive career, after which Brown began working in management.

His time as a coach at Fleetwood Town was quite brief, and he now holds the position of head coach at the Scottish club Ayr United.
