You will need:

  • kefir or sour milk - 420 g;
  • egg - 1 pc.;
  • salt - 1 tsp;
  • sugar - 1 tsp;
  • oil - 5 tbsp;
  • baking powder - 1 tsp;
  • flour - 700 g.

Cooking method

Pour kefir or sour milk into a deep bowl, add the egg, salt, sugar, and oil. Mix well with a whisk or spoon.

Add baking powder and gradually introduce sifted flour, kneading a soft, elastic dough. It should not stick to your hands, but it should not be too tight either.

Divide the dough into parts, rolling or flattening each one into a round shape by hand. If desired, cheese can be added inside or on top.

Fry on a dry skillet or with a small amount of oil on both sides until golden brown.

Serve hot - with sour cream, greens, or simply on their own. Khachapuri stay soft for a long time, making them convenient to take with you or to prepare several days in advance.
