Lithuania Launches Thunder Strike Exercises: 17 Thousand Soldiers Prepare for West-2025.
According to inkorr.com: Lithuania has launched military exercises called 'Thunder Strike', in which about 17 thousand servicemen are participating. These maneuvers are taking place ahead of the Russian-Belarusian exercises 'West-2025' and will last for two months. Military operations will occur both on training grounds and in civilian areas. Military convoys will move along the country's roads, with military aircraft flying overhead. Simulators and appropriate sound equipment are also planned to be used for training.
Preparing for National Defense
'Our goal is to focus military training on ensuring that all units achieve and maintain readiness to carry out the tasks of the national armed defense plan,' said Defense Chief Raimundas Vaikasnor. According to the military, the exercises are related to real defense plans and preparing for their implementation. Command, unit staff and institutions, military units, military commanders, and local government bodies will work on planning and executing tasks related to armed defense.
Thus, Lithuania is conducting 'Thunder Strike' exercises to strengthen the country's defense capability in the context of the Russian-Belarusian maneuvers 'West-2025'. These activities underline Lithuania's readiness for possible threats and the importance of cooperation among all levels of defense management.
