According to SunSport, the deal with Standard Chartered may be concluded soon.
Meanwhile, Liverpool does not exclude alternative options, including the possibility of collaborating with other major banks.
The club began its collaboration with Standard Chartered back in 2010, when the logo of this bank appeared on the shirts.
The current agreement provides for a payment of £50 million per year.
Winning the championship title last season and the recent investment of £450 million in young players, including Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike, boosts the club's confidence in performing at a high level.
Liverpool's fierce rivals, Manchester United, who will come to Anfield on Sunday, and Manchester City have the most lucrative sponsorship deals in the Premier League.
Both clubs receive £60 million per year from their agreements. Manchester United's sponsor is the Snapdragon brand, while the Mancunians collaborate with Etihad Airways.
At the moment, Liverpool is in second place in the Premier League table, just one point behind leaders Arsenal.
Status for the current season
