Luke Littler may win two titles tonight: what is known about the historic attempt.
Young athlete on the path to new victories
According to The Sun: 18-year-old LUKE LITTLER may win two tournaments in one night and receive a double cash prize.
The young athlete impressed everyone with his participation in the Youth World Championship.
PA GettyLast year he skipped the tournament to focus on more lucrative competitions for adults.
However, Littler is still young and confirmed his desire to try once again to win the title he claimed in 2023.
Today he will be the main star of the qualifiers in Wigan – less than 24 hours after defeating Luke Humphries to win the World Grand Prix, and now he is trying to dethrone the reigning champion Gian van Veen.
Complications on the horizon
The situation could become complicated if Littler makes it to the finals.
The final, for which the first prize is at stake, will take place before the Players Championship final, scheduled in Minehead on November 23.
This means that Littler may be forced to play two finals in one night if he reaches both tournaments.
The Players Championship final – won by Humphries in 2023 and 2024 – has a prize of £120,000.
The winner of the Youth World Championship will receive £12,000.

“I’m heading to the Youth World Championship, I’ll see everyone and just have fun,' - Littler explained his decision.
“I don’t think anyone will become my friend, but it’s only 20 minutes away, and I’ll try to do my best.
“I could rest, but why? I will play in the World Championship, then at two ProTours in Wigan, and the weekends will be free.'
Gian van Veen - reigning Youth World Champion
Luke Littler has become one of the most prominent young stars in the world of darts. His desire to compete in both tournaments underscores his ambition and determination to be the best. This could mark an important milestone in his career, as success at the Youth World Championship and the Players Championship could pave his way to great achievements in professional sports.
