Luke Rockhold is the ex-UFC champ who dated Demi Lovato, modelled for Ralph Lauren and now makes Misfits Boxing debut.

According to The Sun: Luke Rockhold's career as a mixed martial arts (MMA) champion encompasses celebrity romances, fashion contracts, and even lost teeth.

Now Rockhold is stepping into the world of Misfits Boxing - a platform for celebrity fights.

The American fighter will face former UFC star Darren Till on Saturday night in Manchester.

Rockhold comes from an illustrious sporting family: his father Steve played professional basketball in Europe, while his brother Matthew is a surfer. His mother played tennis, but Rockhold chose a fighting career, initially training in judo and later in wrestling.

After winning Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournaments, he transitioned into MMA, making his professional debut in 2007.

In 2011, Rockhold won the Strikeforce middleweight title, and two years later he moved to the UFC, where he became champion in 2015.

Known for his attractiveness, Rockhold quickly became one of the faces of the UFC, transcending the sports world.

In 2016, he confirmed his romance with pop star Demi Lovato when they were spotted together at the UFC 205 event in New York.

However, Rockhold noted that the relationship with 'Cool for the Summer' was short-lived, although they got matching tattoos.

The event will take place at AO Arena in Manchester and will feature UFC stars, Misfits icons, and two TOWIE stars!

This night has been dubbed 'Ring of Thrones', with the main event being a fight between former UFC stars - Darren Till and Luke Rockhold.

Former UFC champion Tony Ferguson will also make his debut on the card, putting his legacy on the line against Salt Papi, who has won his last three fights by knockout.

Reality stars Joey Essex and Demi Sims will also appear on the card, making their ring debuts.

Demi's dad, Tony, has trained fighters like Anthony Joshua and Conor Benn and is the head coach at Matchroom Sport.

Also on the card are MMA rookie Dillon Danis and regular Misfits fighters like Ty Mitchell, Chase DeMoor, and Amir Anderson.

Recalling his hit song, he said on the podcast of former UFC champion Rampage Jackson: “We just had a great summer. I swear we had a summer together. In fact, we got tattoos on our first date.”

The two split in early 2017 when Rockhold had already lost the UFC title in a fight against British rival Michael Bisping, whom he initially defeated in 2014.

However, Rockhold remained a star, and in 2018 signed a contract with Ralph Lauren.

He became the face of their Polo Blue fragrance line, participating in fashion photoshoots and television commercials.

Rockhold even participated in Fashion Weeks in Milan and New York.

However, in the ring, he suffered three consecutive losses from 2018 to 2022, marking the end of his UFC career.

In 2023, the two-time MMA champion made a shocking transition to bare-knuckle boxing to fight Mike Perry.

However, his fight ended in a brutal stoppage in the second round when Rockhold tapped out after losing a tooth. Till later mocked him about it.

When asked about his decision to step away from the ring, Rockhold commented: “I realized it was a stupid sport... I didn’t want to lose my teeth for such a stupid f***ing sport.”

Rockhold made a comeback last year, winning in Karate Combat against Joe Schilling before signing with Misfits Boxing.

And now he has big plans for the future – including a fight against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.

Paul already has victories over notable MMA stars like Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, Nate Diaz, and Mike Perry.

His record is now 12-1, with his only loss coming against Tommy Fury in 2023 by split decision.

His latest win came in June against former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., allowing him to rank 14th in the WBA cruiser rankings.

Despite this, Paul, 28, plans to return on November 14 in an exhibition fight against lightweight champion Gervonta Davis, despite a FIVE KG weight difference.

Rockhold told DAZN: “We’re all after big money. That’s what it’s about. You’re fooling yourself if it’s not. I love paying back debts. I want to show who the real fighters are in life.”

However, it all starts with the fight against Till, as Rockhold launches a new chapter in his vibrant career.

So, with Rockhold's transition to Misfits Boxing, his fans can expect new exciting fights and possible mega-showdowns like a fight with Jake Paul.
