Closure of bank branches
Next month, 24 bank branches will close across the country, which will be a serious blow to street trading. The new wave of closures will affect Lloyds Bank as well as many other major banks – from Bristol to Sheffield.Among the institutions closing their branches are Barclays, NatWest, Halifax, Santander, and the Bank of Scotland.“These changes will affect many customers who are used to using physical branches for services”The closure of branches may provoke a negative reaction among the population, as for many, a visit to the bank remains an important part of their financial life.Despite the rapid development of online banking, traditional banks remain important for those who value personal contact with specialists. The reduction in the number of physical branches may create difficulties for clients who do not have access to digital technologies or simply prefer a traditional approach to managing financial affairs.
