New chocolate boxes from supermarkets

According to The Sun: The supermarket has started selling chocolate boxes that have received great feedback from shoppers, especially before Christmas.

These new offerings have become popular due to their convenient gift packaging.

Sainsbury's supermarket has released square boxes of Cadbury chocolate, and shoppers note that this shape is a significant improvement compared to traditional round ones.

This year, popular chocolate sets are presented in three variants: Roses, Cadbury and Heroes.

In the Cadbury box, you will find a mix of favorite chocolates, including Dairy Milk, Cadbury White and Dairy Milk Whole Nut.

The Heroes box offers a variety of small treats, such as Fudge, Dairy Milk Caramel and Eclairs - perfect for sharing or small indulgences.

One shopper wrote: “I love these boxes.. much better than tubs. Easier to store if you reuse them at home.”
Another noted: “Easier to wrap lol.”

But not everyone was convinced, one customer asked: “Yes, but are there more chocolates in there?”

This is not the first time chocolate manufacturers have updated their classic sets for the holidays.

Earlier this year, Quality Street changed some of their packaging to recyclable paper due to customer concerns over plastic waste.

Celebrations also hit the headlines when the brand introduced “mini drums” intended for smaller households, sparking debates over whether they provide the same value for money.

Iconic tubs have decreased by 50 grams, leaving sweet lovers with six fewer chocolates.

While the price remains at around £7 in UK supermarkets, the tubs now weigh 550 grams instead of 600.

Other festive treats

If the tubs of Roses and Heroes are not attractive enough, many other festive goodies are already appearing on the shelves.

Mini Snowballs by Cadbury are one of the most popular chocolate desserts in the UK during Christmas.

Usually available only in December, these sweets are already on sale at Asda.
