Previously, customers received paper coupons for use in stores. However, by Christmas 2025, the system has changed.

Now, the coupons collected through the program are automatically credited to the Morrisons More card for future use.

Those who want to apply their coupons online can receive an electronic code, but this option must be chosen by October 30, 2025.

Furthermore, you can change how you receive your coupons by the specified deadline by logging into your account on the More card. In the Christmas Savers club section, you can view your transaction history.

After that, select 'manage club preferences' and choose one of the two options.

You can also register for the Christmas Savers club if you haven't done so already.

How Christmas Saver works

With the Morrisons More card, you earn points for purchases. Every 5,000 points equals £5.

These points can be exchanged for vouchers that can then be used. You can credit savings to the Christmas Savers club from November 6 to December 31.

Savings also carry an additional bonus for holiday expenses.

Not only Morrisons offers savings for Christmas. Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Asda also have their own savings programs and bonuses for customers looking to ease holiday expenses.

For example, at Asda, you can sign up now or add small amounts during purchases, receiving a bonus in November based on your balance.

Tesco customers can accumulate Clubcard coupons throughout the year for spending on large Christmas purchases. There is also an option to top up their savings online and receive up to £12 in bonuses.

Sainsbury’s customers can obtain a Christmas Club card and save from £1 to £1,975, saving until November 1. A bonus is offered only if there is at least £50 on the card.

The bonus amount depends on the total saved on the card. The largest bonus of £25 is given to those who have saved £500 or more.

How to save on Christmas shopping

Consumer journalist Sam Walker reveals how to save money on Christmas shopping.

Joke with the number of gifts – buying gifts for the whole family and friends can cost a lot of money. Why not organize a 'Secret Santa' among your loved ones to avoid buying multiple gifts?

Plan ahead – if you have the patience and budget, consider buying Christmas gifts during the January sales for the next year. Always look for the best deals on price comparison websites to avoid overpaying.

Shop during holiday sales – some stores begin their main Christmas sales earlier, so you can catch a good deal before December 25.

Delivery may cost, but it could be worth it if the discounts are significant.

Shop through outlets – you can save significantly by shopping at outlets, such as Amazon Warehouse or Office Offcuts. They sell returned or slightly damaged items at a reduced price, but usually, the damage is minimal.

Thus, changes in the Morrisons loyalty program create new opportunities for savings during the holidays. It is important to carefully monitor the terms and conditions to maximize the benefits of accumulating coupons. These tips can help consumers approach their Christmas spending rationally and find good deals in other supermarkets.
