Mother of Uzelkova explained why the ex-wife was not at the boxer's funeral.
The mother of the famous boxer Vyacheslav Uzelkov, Zinaida Uzelkova, refused Marina Borzhenska to attend the funeral of her ex-husband. She also criticized her grandchildren, Robert and Olivia, for not communicating with their father for a long Time. Zinaida claims that Robert's words about his presence by his father's side in the hospital are untrue.
According to Zinaida, Marina with the children visited Uzelkov only once, after which Zinaida prohibited him from accepting anyone but family, except for doctors. But Marina did not show up again. Uzelkov was getting better, tests improved, but she appeared in the ward again, and then he died. Zinaida claims that Robert is lying when he says he was by his father's side until his death.
It turned out that it was Zinaida who did not allow Marina Borzhenska to participate in the athlete's funeral. She said that she did not want Marina to be present because she only brought negativity. Marina responded that the children should have come earlier and that she had no right to prevent them from coming. Zinaida also stated that Marina discussed the inheritance of Slava in her presence.
Zinaida also expressed her doubts regarding the fact that Slava did not communicate with her for 20 years because of Marina's prohibitions. She cried at their wedding because she felt that there would be no happiness in the family. Marina did not allow Uzelkov to communicate with his mother, and he did not tell Zinaida what she said to him. When the children were born, Zinaida brought them gold souvenirs, but Marina did not allow her to see them. After the divorce, Slava stopped communicating with his mother and only restored contact in 2020.
The deceased boxer also publicly apologized to his mother, stating that he had not communicated with her for 20 years, but was very pleased to hear that she loved him.
Zinaida denies that Slava abused Marina. She says he always loved her, despite everything, and never offended her. She also noted that Marina did not deserve such treatment if she was looking for more.
Ukrainian boxer Vyacheslav Uzelkov died at the age of 45. His death was not unexpected, as he was in a coma and his heart stopped. Marina and their son Robert also expressed their grief over his loss.
