Manchester United signs Senna Lammens

According to The Sun: Coach Ruben Amorim hopes to solve the problems with goalkeepers by signing Belgian Senna Lammens for an initial fee of £18.2 million.

After a chaotic start to the season, when Andre Onana and Altay Bayındır made serious mistakes, the club decided to turn to the transfer market and chose Lammens over Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa.

Lammens aims to push Onana out of the starting goalkeeper position under Ruben Amorim.

Last week, the deal could have fallen through as the club and player were dissatisfied with the United’s terms. However, after Bayındır's poor performance against Burnley, the club again turned its attention to Lammens.

Lammens said: “I am incredibly proud to join Manchester United; it is a real dream come true.”
“In recent years I have come a long way, and now it ends in an incredible place, and I hope it is the start of something special.”

Lammens also noted the positive atmosphere in the club and expressed hope that he will make a significant impact on the team.

United’s football director Jason Wilcox added: “Senna is a great young goalkeeper with enormous potential. We are pleased that he chose Manchester United, as many clubs were watching him.”

Lammens' transfer creates a complicated situation for Emiliano Martinez at Aston Villa, where he recently missed a match against Crystal Palace due to a possible move.

Now United is considering the possibility of letting Bayındır or Onana go, as both have offers from Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

The club is also interested in midfielder Conor Gallagher, but his team was not satisfied with the loan offer.

Meanwhile, Amorim has already made several transfers: Rasmus Hojlund took a loan move to Napoli with a buy option for £38 million if the new club qualifies for the Champions League.

Brazilian Antony moved to Real Betis for £21.7 million after a successful loan term, foregoing a £4 million bonus to expedite the deal.

PA Emiliano Martinez forced to stay at Aston Villa Getty Senna Lammens is becoming the new goalkeeper of Manchester United, and his arrival can significantly impact the team structure, especially the main goalkeeper position. Thus, the foundations have been laid for future changes in the club's goalkeepers and a possible reorientation in the transfer market depending on the situation with other players.
