According to The Sun: The shareholders represented by co-owner and club chairman Steve Parish are ready to make every effort to keep the talent of Adam Wharton.

However, Parish understands that the task is not easy, as the 21-year-old player wants to play in the Champions League in the coming years.

Wharton, who joined the club from Blackburn Rovers last year for £18 million, is considered one of the most promising young footballers in England.

Currently, there is no 'pressure' to sell, and the midfielder is 'very committed' to the club, however, 'Palace's' resolve may be tested if Manchester United makes an unexpected offer of £60 million.

Parish stated:

“Look, I think Adam at some point will want to play, whether it’s in the Champions League with us if we can do it, or probably with another club.”

“He is an exceptional talent. I can't speak for Adam, but he is focused on his time at Crystal Palace.”

Adding,

“Last season he had groin problems that often occur in young players.”

“This season he is fully focused on the number of games, on getting into the England national team, being a regular with us. I think he is very committed to the club.”

Parish also noted that

“if Manchester United wants Adam Wharton, it wouldn't surprise me.”

The club will always be grateful to their coach Oliver Glasner, as he led them to a historic victory in the FA Cup final against Manchester City.

The new season of “Palace” began with a victory over Liverpool in the Serie A final on penalties after the main time ended 2-2.

Club plans for the future

The highly valued Austrian Glasner, whose contract expires next summer, has already spoken with Parish about extending his stay at the club.

Parish noted:

“We are very keen to keep Oliver. We are building something.”

“For Oliver, it’s important that the conditions are right.”

Glasner wants to win trophies since,

“he is in football for those moments when we can bring joy to the fans.”

At the same time, Parish emphasized that Glasner's opinion

“is extremely important for the football club.”

Considering that Guehi's contract expires this season, and without a new deal, he could leave the club for free next summer, Parish believes that keeping the captain is a risk worth taking.

Parish stated:

“These issues are never black and white. I ultimately decided we would have a better season if we kept Marc.”

He concluded with the words:

“But with the Conference League, with how we want to compete this season, to possibly finish mid-table for the first time, we think it was the right decision to keep Marc.”
News about Adam Wharton's talent and his potential transfer to Manchester United signals an increasing competition in football. Amid active interest from other clubs, Crystal Palace is trying to retain its stars and develop the team to reach new heights. Concentration on retaining key players and developing the coaching staff will be an important factor for the team's success in the coming season.
