Rasmus Højlund scores on debut for Napoli: Manchester United fans on the curse.
Successful debut of Rasmus Højlund at Napoli
According to The Sun: After two difficult years at Manchester United, Rasmus Højlund seems to have found his place, scoring a goal just 14 minutes after coming on for Napoli.
The 22-year-old player joined the Italian champions on loan with an option to buy for £38 million if the team can qualify for the Champions League.

Reasons for the transfer and debut goal
This transfer seems to be successful for Antonio Conte's team, as Højlund scored a goal in his debut match in Italy. In 2023, he transferred from Atalanta to United for £72 million and earned a reputation as a fast and aggressive striker who can become a real star.
However, the last two seasons at the 'Red Devils' were difficult for him, and he often felt isolated and insecure. This summer, his return to Serie A became possible after the signing of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig to United.
Højlund showed that a lot of money was paid for him two years ago when he went on the attack after a pass from Leonardo Spinazzola and calmly shot past former United goalkeeper David de Gea, who was trying to save the situation.
He celebrated his first goal in league competition since April with his new teammates, although he had already scored in May in the Europa League and last week for the Danish national team against Greece.
His goal made it 2-0 after a successful penalty by Kevin De Bruyne in the sixth minute.
Reactions from fans on social media
On social media, United fans expressed their joy over Højlund but also held their club as 'cursed'.
“Debut goal, Lmao Utd is cursed.”
“Højlund scores on his debut? Wow, we are cursed.”
“We are really cursed.”
“Is the problem Manchester United?”
“I'm convinced United are simply cursed.”
Højlund's debut goal at Napoli not only boosts his confidence but also shows the opportunities opening up for him in his new team. Everyone hopes he can become an important part of Napoli's attack and help the team reach new heights in Italian football. Fans believe this move will benefit both Højlund and the club.
