Newcomer from Manchester United against Liverpool: Tips from Courtois.
Lamens prepares for the game against Liverpool
According to The Sun: ANFIELD - a real challenge for any goalkeeper. Especially considering that Liverpool has only lost three of their last 83 home games in the Premier League over the last five seasons.

The 23-year-old Belgian goalkeeper, who made his debut for the Red Devils in a 2-0 win against Sunderland before the international break, is preparing for the trip to Merseyside and is watching his colleague on the bench during the World Cup qualifying match against Wales (4-2).
Lamens sat next to his Premier League colleague, Mats Selz from Nottingham Forest, waiting for his chance on the field while receiving instructions from Thibaut Courtois from Real Madrid.
Before the match at Anfield this week, Courtois, who has 107 international caps, gave Lamens some useful advice after having played only one full season in the Belgian first division before transferring for £18.2 million from Royal Antwerp.
“This is a tough stadium. Maybe I should tell him to applaud the home fans when he arrives at the Kop!”
Among the Kop fans, there is a tradition of applauding opposing goalkeepers. While this might be a nice gesture for Courtois when he plays for Real or Chelsea, it likely won't work for Lamens when he approaches the legendary sector in red Manchester United gear.
Lamens has a big burden ahead as the fans will actively support their team, but he has already proven his potential in the game at Old Trafford against the Black Cats.

Lamens kept his goal clean in his debut, and the fans even sang: “Are you Schmeichel in a mask?” in honor of club legend Peter. The Belgian is likely to stay in goal as his rival Althai Bayindir has made several mistakes this season, and now he faces a serious test in Merseyside.
Courtois is confident in Lamens
Meanwhile, Courtois is confident that Lamens, who is over 1.93 meters tall, has all the qualities to become a true star under manager Ruben Amorim at United. Lamens is receiving advice from leading goalkeepers: Courtois for reflexes, Marc-André ter Stegen for shot-stopping, as well as from Germans Manuel Neuer and Simon Mignolet regarding nutrition and training regimens.
The promising goalkeeper, who mainly works with his right foot, can also handle the left foot skillfully. Furthermore, he has a notebook where he keeps track of how his opponents play, shoot, and take penalties.
However, despite all the preparation and attention to detail, Lamens is aware that he needs to win the trust of the United fans.
“He can play well,”- noted former players, questioning whether he has the weight to appear at a club where such great goalkeepers as Schmeichel, Edwin van der Sar, and David de Gea have played.
Courtois, who also went through a similar transition when he moved from Genk to Chelsea in 2009, added: “His first game showed what United can expect. He is tall, not afraid of crosses, and has a noticeable personality. I am sure he will make it. He has a difficult game this weekend, so I hope, if he plays, everything will go smoothly. I wish him all the best.”
Courtois also plans to play at Anfield when Real faces Liverpool in the group stage of the Champions League next month.
“I will be there in a few weeks. It’s always a tough game, and I think Liverpool will try to rehabilitate after some losses,”- he concluded.
However, a big challenge for Lamens and United lies in the fact that all three losses were away, and now they are returning to the fortress of Anfield.
