Manchester United pays Gary Amasa's salary in Sheffield: transfer details.
According to The Sun: Manchester United has taken on the full salary of Gary Amasa, who has joined financially unstable Sheffield Wednesday on loan. The 18-year-old defender left Old Trafford for Hillsborough on transfer deadline day to gain more playing opportunities.
Man Utd covers all of Gary Amasa's salary at Sheffield Wednesday – as well as his living expenses GettyFinancial difficulties at the 'Owls' posed risks for the deal's completion, but the Manchester club was happy to support Amasa in his move.
A club representative confirmed to SunSport that they will cover Amasa's full salary, which is £5,000 per week. Additionally, United will also take on all performance bonuses and Amasa's living expenses in Sheffield.
The 'Red Devils' wanted the young player to develop in a new team. With the arrival of Patrick Dorgu in winter and the signing of Diego Leon in summer, Amasa had fewer opportunities to play.
However, the deal could have fallen through due to the fact that Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri has stopped funding the club. He ignores calls for a sale despite fan protests.
After losing eight key players on free transfers and the resignation of coach Danny Rohl, fans have lost hope for new signings.

Fortunately for the club, another player was signed before January — goalkeeper Ethan Horvath, who joined on loan from Cardiff.
This transfer demonstrates Manchester United's commitment to developing young talent, even in the face of instability at the club lending him out. Sheffield Wednesday, despite all financial difficulties, gains important reinforcement that could impact their performance for the remainder of the season.
