Manchester United Loan Onana to Trabzonspor: Transfer Details.
According to The Sun: Manchester United confirmed that goalkeeper Andre Onana has been loaned to Trabzonspor for one season.
The 29-year-old player leaves Old Trafford after finding himself on the sidelines in the battle for a starting spot due to the arrival of Senne Lammens and Altay Bayındır.

In a statement from Manchester United published at 8:30 PM on Thursday, it was said:
“Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has joined Trabzonspor on loan for the 2025/26 season, subject to international clearance and registration.
“The 29-year-old Cameroonian has made 102 appearances for the club since joining from Inter in July 2023.
“In his first season at United, Andre was part of the team that won the FA Cup, defeating Manchester City 2-1 at Wembley Stadium.
“Onana played 50 matches in his second season, and our number 24 has now agreed to the loan to Trabzonspor.
“The transfer was completed before the closure of the transfer window in Turkey on Friday. We wish Andre good luck.”
Onana, a former Inter and Ajax player, spent the last two seasons as the main goalkeeper at United but gained negative notoriety due to a number of errors. His career at Old Trafford became complicated this summer when he returned to the club demanding a new contract and a pay increase due to a 25 percent pay cut. This demand caused outrage in Ruben Amorim, who was also disappointed by the injury that Onana sustained at the start of preseason training.
The relationship between Onana and Amorim deteriorated so much that the goalkeeper did not greet his coach at training. Onana did not make the squad for Premier League matches against Arsenal and Fulham, but returned to the starting lineup during the shocking defeat to Grimsby in the League Cup.
Upcoming Matches
United will now play against Manchester City in the derby, and Amorim faces an important decision regarding the choice of goalkeeper. He must decide whether to trust Bayındır, who is already 27, or take a risk by fielding the new 23-year-old Lammens.

Senne Lammens received important advice from United legend Alex Stepney, who said:
“Senne, like all young players in his position, must show that he has the courage to be independent.”
Onana's departure from Manchester United marks an important milestone in the goalkeeper's career, who will seek to regain his form at Trabzonspor. It also reflects the changes taking place in the team, as coach Amorim must find the optimal lineup for future matches. We will follow the performances of both Onana in his new team and United's plans, particularly the decisions the coach will make regarding the goalkeeper position in the upcoming matches.
