Manchester United asked fans about season ticket prices at the new stadium.
MANCHESTER UNITED and the new stadium
According to The Sun: The management of Manchester United has reached out to fans asking if they are willing to pay more than four times the cost for a season ticket at the new stadium compared to prices at Old Trafford.
An exciting project for a new stadium valued at 2 billion pounds is being developed, which is expected to be completed by 2030. The new stadium will accommodate 100,000 spectators.

The club sent emails to season ticket holders and members to gather their opinions on some plans.
The survey, which was sent to members, season ticket holders, and executive committee members, is the largest fan opinion survey regarding this project.
It was revealed yesterday that Manchester United plans to become the first European club to introduce seat licenses - a concept from the USA that allows fans to buy specific seats for a defined period.
According to the personal seat license (PSL), the fan who purchases it will still have to pay separately for the season ticket, but will have the option to sell the license if they choose not to renew their ticket.
For the first time, it was also revealed that fans may be offered to pay up to 4,830 pounds for a season ticket in the lower part of the new stadium, as reported by The Times.
This amount exceeds four times the cost of the most expensive season ticket for the 2025/26 season, which is 1,121 pounds.
At the same time, the cheapest season ticket - on the upper tier, next to the East Stand - will cost 570 pounds, which is 38 pounds less than the current cheapest adult season ticket available.
Indicative prices for the 'Executive Club' could reach an astounding 424,800 pounds per season for a private box for 16 people.
The club is also considering introducing a 'Tunnel Club', similar to what rival Manchester City did at the Etihad Stadium in 2017, for up to 26,550 pounds per person.
Manchester United assures that 'no decisions have been made regarding the prices' on the expenditures mentioned in the survey and adds: “We want to keep our cheapest tickets at an affordable level.”
“To achieve this, we need to develop the best and most premium options on the market to balance the lower ticket prices.”
The club also points out that a wide range of prices is best practice 'for exploring the opportunities of personal seat licenses' that may become part of 'significant investments' needed to build the new stadium.
Manchester United informed SunSport: “We will also explore the demand for significantly lower prices, including some below current levels.”
Last year, 52% of Manchester United fans surveyed about the new stadium supported its construction, while 31% expressed support for modernizing the existing Old Trafford.
The Manchester United club is actively exploring plans for a new stadium, taking into account the opinions of its fans, who show significant interest in the development of the team. The question about increasing season ticket prices arises from the need for significant investments, while stability in ticket prices remains an important aspect for maintaining fan interest. By introducing modern concepts, the club aims not only to improve fan experiences but also to create a modern stadium that will become a worthy symbol of the club. Read also
