It was previously mentioned that he might lead this deal, as he has already been linked to Bristol City and Millwall.
Alashikh, 44, clarified his previous statements, stating that he is not part of the deal.
He wrote on X:
“My message yesterday about the potential sale of Manchester United meant one thing: the club is at an advanced stage of negotiations with a new investor. Just to clarify, I am not an investor, and they are not from my people. I write this as a fan who wants the deal to happen, even though it may not necessarily occur.”
According to Daily Mail, a consortium from the UAE is considering making an offer to buy the club, which is valued at over £5 billion.
This group has already discussed with former players of the 'Red Devils' the possibility of supporting this proposal as ambassadors.
However, it has become known that the contract with the club's owners has not yet been signed, and they deny being in the stage of active negotiations.
Club sources report that this news came as a surprise to them, and they do not understand where it originated.

Alashikh noted:
“The best news I heard today is that Manchester United is ready to finalize a deal with a new investor... I hope he will be better than the previous owners.”
The primary owners, the Glazer family, declined a significant interest from Sheikh Jasim Al Thani's consortium from Qatar almost two years ago.
Instead, they accepted Ratcliffe's offer of £1.25 billion for a 27.7% stake in the club, which was completed early last year.
Now Manchester United is also negotiating a possible trip to Saudi Arabia to participate in a friendly match organized by Alashikh.
Thus, the developments surrounding Manchester United continue to interest fans of the club and the football community as a whole. Alashikh's clarifications regarding his role in negotiations and statements about the consortium's interest only highlight the tension surrounding the management of the club. Further details may emerge soon as negotiations may enter a new phase.Read also
