Absence of three Manchester United players for the derby

According to The Sun: Coach Ruben Amorim has confirmed that three Manchester United players will miss the derby against Manchester City on Sunday.

Matheus Cunha, Mason Mount, and Diogo Dalot will not be able to play due to injuries.

This loss has been a significant blow to the Portuguese coach, as his team tries to recover after the international break.

All three players participated in the team's victory over Burnley, winning 3-2 before the break.

Cunha sustained a hamstring injury in that game, as he was substituted in the 30th minute and left international duty.

Mount likely also injured the same area, although he managed to last until halftime.

Dalot, like Cunha, returned from the international camp due to 'muscle discomfort', but the details of his injury are still unclear.

Amorim is now forced to look for new options on the bench.

One possible replacement is Benjamin Sesko — a Slovenian acquired for 74 million pounds during the last stage of the summer transfer window. He has yet to start in Premier League matches this season, as Cunha traditionally plays the central forward in Amorim's system, while Bryan Mbeumo and Mount play on the flanks.

As a replacement for Dalot, Patrick Dorgu is also considered, who has played as a left wing-back this season to free up space for Amad Diallo on the right flank.

A possible candidate to substitute for Mount is Kobie Maino, who is likely to get a chance to prove himself after summer negotiations about a possible transfer.

Amorim also confirmed that goalkeeper Altay Bayındır will remain in the starting lineup despite the arrival of Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens.

The arrival of Lammens allowed them to let go of goalkeeper André Onana, who moved to Trabzonspor on Thursday.

However, the 23-year-old goalkeeper will have to wait for his debut, as Bayındır will again be in goal for the derby. Amorim hopes he will regain confidence after a poor performance against Arsenal in the season's first weekend.

The absence of Cunha, Mount, and Dalot is a significant challenge for Manchester United in this important derby against Manchester City. How the team copes with these losses will be clear on Sunday when both clubs take to the pitch to fight for three crucial points.

Every match at this level always carries emotions and intrigues, and it can also be a decisive moment for clubs fighting for high positions in the league table.
